Amy and Roland from the organization BRITE: Building Resilience and Inclusion Through Engagement, covered the opioid and fentanyl topic including the fatalities, proliferation of pills and the many code names used to disguise the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. The statistics are shocking. Many schools are now keeping rescue kits in the class room to treat drug overdoses. The presenters also provided Ventura County Resources for substance use services and prevention.
